On April 8, the groundbreaking ceremony for Gansu Pingwen Chemicals Co., Ltd.'s project of 10,300 tons of technical grade pesticides and 9,000 tons of intermediates was held in Hexibao Industrial Park.
Zhang Jian, County Party Secretary, attended and unveiled the foundation stone at the groundbreaking ceremony. Yu Tiande, Deputy County Party Secretary and County Mayor, delivered a speech. Liu Ming, Chairman of the County Political Consultative Conference, and Zhu Zhongzhi, Deputy Director of the County People's Congress Standing Committee, attended the ceremony. In his speech, Yu Tiande highlighted that in recent years, Yongchang County has focused intensively on projects, industry, industrial parks, and investment attraction, establishing a clear direction that "measures success by investment attraction and project construction." The county has continuously deepened administrative reforms and created an optimal environment featuring efficient government services, convenient market conditions, fair legal framework, and supportive human elements. This has resulted in attracting quality enterprises, accelerating project construction, and expanding industrial chains.
The establishment of Gansu Pingwen Chemicals Co., Ltd.'s technical grade pesticides and intermediates project will significantly boost the fine chemical industry, extend the chemical recycling chain, increase pesticide production capacity, and help develop a key national pesticide production park. The Hexibao Industrial Park and relevant departments will provide comprehensive support services, implementing a "five-excellence" service system - extremely simple, optimal, detailed, rapid, and thorough - to facilitate efficient project construction.
Yu also called on project owners and construction units to set clear milestones, implement precise measures, and establish firm responsibilities. He emphasized the importance of maintaining strict progress monitoring, quality management, and safety standards to ensure the project's timely completion and operation.
According to sources, Maxunitech Inc. is a multinational corporation specializing in crop protection chemicals, related intermediates, and fine chemicals research, production, sales, and application, while also focusing on water ecosystem restoration and landscaping technology development. Gansu Pingwen Chemicals Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Maxunitech Inc., has a planned area of 73.6 acres with a total construction area of 179,000 square meters. The total estimated investment is 990 million yuan. Upon completion, the project will make significant contributions to the county's pesticide industry development, fine chemical industry chain extension, and regional economic growth.
